Question about non stock wheels on 4Runner

Good question, here is my thoughts. "Johnny" owned the 4runner Johnny bought some really nice wheels and tires for his ride, when Johnny realized how much this stuff cost, he decided to sale his OEM wheels to make some extra cash to compensate for the price. When Johnny wanted to get another vehicle, he says, "oh no i really want to keep these wheels and tires, but how will I do that without having the OEM wheels. Now Johnny has a problem, so Johnny gets on craigslist and looks for the cheapest thing he can find to put on the 4runner so he can keep what he had.

There ya go ;-)

I wouldn't worry about it. Get a Carfax to make sure that it has a clear title and the maintenance has been kept up.

caution

I had tires on my 2004 4runner that were slightly, and I mean slightly smaller and wider than the OEM tires. The net result is that after 50k miles on these tires I ended up replacing the bearings on both front wheels to the tune of $1000 each. Ouch. You can find others on the board who have had this problem.

You might want to check out the bearings to determine if they are about to need replacement.

That being said, I love my 4runner and wouldn't think of having a different truck.
