Question about outputs on the Scion HU

I've done a bit of research on this stereo and, based on comments on here, am probably going to install it fairly soon.

I do have a quick question on the HU itself though, as I've been able to dig up little detail online.

Does it have outputs for adding a sub amp - remote turn on wire and RCA jacks? Or am I going to have to go with some other adapter to install a sub with my system?

There are adapters you can buy specifically for the scion HU. I have seen them on ebay before, i think they are in the neighborhood of $50. Or you can get some line level adapters and wire the turn on lead yourself for cheaper.

Maybe this will help. I used a component two way speaker in the front door to replace the 6x9 and tweeter. I pulled the extra wires this created from the door to the back and wired them in with a sub filter to a sub-box with amp.

i think i did the same. what i did was i tapped into the rear speakers and put rca's on the opposite end connecting it to the amp. it works just fine.
