Question about Scion HU

I Currently have the 6 disc JBL system with 10 speaker,

I am thinking about getting the Scion Hu, will it work with 10 speakers and can I make the switch with JBL system I would like to have a satelite radio that you can control from the steering controls...also what else will I have to buy if it is compatiable for the sattelite connection.


Any information would be greatly appreciated.

First off, no, it will not work with the JBL system. So, if that's what you have in your truck, you're out of luck.

Also, if you want to hook up XM to your Scion headunit, you just have to buy the Toyota/Scion kit. It really doesn't matter which vehicle model kit (xA, xB, Solara, etc.) you buy, but it does have to be the Toyota kit. They're usually around $400. I have had that setup in my truck for about a year and a half and love it. I just mounted the receiver box under the passenger seat, ran the antenna wire up the B-pillar and tucked it in the headliner, then ran the hook up harness under the side of the console on the pass. side, then ran it up the back of the stereo. Took about 1 1/2 hours to do. You can't even tell the antenna's back there unless you really study it.
