Question about wheel size and tires?

I saw some 15" chrome wheels for 100$ looks like the mickey thompson kind or the eagle type of wheels pretty clean still. well I want to run 255/85 on these 15"s is that correct/ possible or should I just stick with some 16"s to run 255/85. I would prefer higher tires smaller width.

really so if i wanted to go 17's with the sequoia's it wont fit my runner cause it came stock with 16's?? or ur saying it wont fit the tires

255/85 is only a designation for a 16" wheel. 255/85 on 15 does not exist. The closest match is a 33x10.5x15.

it depends...

if your Runner originally came with 15s you can fit 16s or 17s but will be lacking safe braking power.

Elton states it correctly that if your ride originally had 16s then 15s will not clear the brake calipers.

Don't assume anything unless you are the original owner. Look at your door jamb/body plate tag that will advise which setup was stock to your ride at time of build.
