I'm looking to find a way to mount my 2 bazooka tubes to the tops of the wheel wells in the rear cargo area. One tube over each. They would fit perfectly there and still allow the DD cargo shelf to move up/down easily.
How difficult is it to get at the underside of that plastic part (wheel well cover), if I were to fasten a nut/bolt combo through the top of it?
If that's too much work, how much room do I have beneath that plastic cover if I just wanted to throw a few screws down into the plastic? At least 3/4" depth?
Each tube comes with straps and a small 1"x3" plastic mounting block that the straps go through, holding the tube in place when the block is mounted to a floor. The blocks are what I'm looking to fasten down.
