Question about window tinting and car alarms

I will pick up my new 2005 black Limited 4-Runner tomorrow.
I would appreciate any advice regarding window tinting and
installing a car alarm. I want to get the windows as dark as is legally permissible. I would appreciate learning about any good or bad experiences anyone has had regarding these subjects.

Tint legality is dependent upon state. Check your local tint laws about what is legal. I'm sure the reputable tint shops would tell you what is legal.

As for the alarm, it depends what you want out of it. I haven't kept up with aftermarket alarms since I was looking into getting one for my accord a couple years ago. The stock/dealer installed alarms have suited me fine for what I want out of them.
