i noticed a while ago when i was looking to buy a 4runner that one of the ones i looked at had a wrinkle coat finish on the lower portion of the doors and body, when i first saw this i thought it was a respray and avoided the truck, but then later when i was driving my dads tundra i noticed it had the wrinkle coat finish on the bottom as well, i can see why they do this, but the question is when did they start doing this, do they do it on 4runners and if so what models? i'd have to remove the cladding but i'm pretty sure my '99 doesn't have this.
