question for 5-speed owners

my 4runner seems to rev pretty high compare to other manual vehicles i've drove, it i was just wondering what your rpms were in what gear going how fast, cruising on the highway at 80mph in 5th gear im at a lil 0ver 3k rpms that just seems high to me, is this normal, also my engine seems to roar pretty loud just wondering if this is normal

Im never up at 80 much in the 4runner, but i know the 4runner is 2600rpm at 70mph, so a little of 3k sounds about right at 80mph.

My sister has a saturn vue which is the same way, and my dads TDI jetta is at like 2800rpm at 80mph, so it all sounds about right.
