Question for CBI rear bumper owners

I apologize if there is a thread on this, i couldn't find anything searching the forum.

I had the rear bumper shipped to my work and I was going to install it this weekend. Instead of taking the bumper home i was going to grab some tools and just do it at work. I couldn't find any documentation on CBI's website or in the shipment. Is it hard to do? Are there and special tools i might need? Anybody have any instructions? Any tips from somebody whos done it?

I appreciate any insight you could give, thank you!!

On CBI website as you stated there are no installation instructions..but there is a tab on the product page labeled "Installation", when you click on that tab this is what it says.....

"Installation: This bumper requires basic hand tools to install. This bumper can be installed without professional help."

Sorry I have never installed one of their rear bumpers so I can't help on installation procedures, but at least this has answered part of your questions on needing any special tools although I would suggest having a floor jack to support the weight and lift the bumper so you don't have to man handle it as you're installing it, I would also assume that you will have to cut some part of the original bumper cover so a saw of some sort will make that easier and if their installation comment is correct it shouldn't be all that hard.

I did notice that it does show install instructions for the 5th gen, don't know if that helps or not.

Thank you for checking, I checked the site before i posted, even though it says 4th gen, if you look at the PDF its for a 5th gen.

Having just recently installed my CBI rear, I had to phone call/email hound them for the actual instructions since for some reason they don't post them online. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send over the PDF's for both the bumper and swing out.

You'll need basic sockets for the brackets, screwdrivers to take the mud flaps and clips off from the stock bumper, and you'll need a cutting wheel to cut off a couple pieces of metal from the frame. I see you've in MV too, let me know if you need a hand, I'm local.

They make nice ladders and cup holders I did a lot of google research when I was looking to buy. Came across a pic of one like mine. This bumper looks great both ways. I was more after protecting the rear quarter panel
