Question from a new owner...

We'll - it's new to me anyway!

I just bought a 2004 4-Runner Sport Edition from a wholesaler. The price was right and the car was in perfect shape. There were a few suspicious things that make me think it might have been a repo. i.e. only one key, no inspection sticker, missing mats and tool pouch, etc. Regardless, there was much more good than bad.

I stopped at a toyota dealer to inquire about the tool pouch. Needless to say, I won't be buying the tools there because there were too many digits in his quoted price. (Above $200!)

I already have the jack and spare and only need the tool pouch. The pouch should include the tire iron along with 3 or 4 additional items.

Any help on where to find these without breaking the bank? I checked around ebay without any luck.

Congrats on the new ride! You could always check ebay and see if anybody is selling it for a more reasonable price there.

Thanks for the replies.

I found tools for 3rd generation 4 runnners on ebay and I'm not sure if the tools are the same? I haven't checked the junkyards yet. Someone on another thread listed everything required to assemble it myself so I may go that route.

For now - I have a spare and a jack but no tools. So I'm being real careful.
