Question on black grille

My SR5 has the completely chrome grille

What models came with the black painted one, like this ? (or was it an option ?)

That black grille came with 06-09 4Runners, painted in black. It's an optional grille for the sr5/Sport Edition, and standard equipped on Limited.

just to clarify....

the only models that came with a color matched grille was the limited for '06 - '09.

Limited = color matched grille
Sport = smoked chrome grille
SR5 = chrome grille

the grille shown is a 06-09. The only way the Sport's or SR5's have a color matched grille is if they purchased it separately. Not an option from Toyota.

My 04 SR5 came with a painted grille, bought it brand new. It also had the 17" wheels that weren't on many SR5's. I doubt I would have bought it with a chrome grille.
