Question on Brakes '04 Limited V8

My V8 has 72,000 miles on it. I replaced my front pads with OEM toyota pads around 45,000 miles. I did nothing to the rotors.
Last week, I noticed a subtle feeling coming down steep hills that does not feel like typical pulsation. I think of typical pulsation as a pumping feeling in brake pedal. Like when you hit brakes hard and ABS kicks in. This feels more like a stutter in the direction of car travel. So, if I were slowly rolling to a stop, it feels like a subtle catching in the brakes like I were taking my foot off and reapplying them, like in a whiplashy kind of movement, but much more subtle than that. Does that make sense? There is no pedal pulsation and steering wheel does not shake.
This was happening before I replaced my rear brake pads last week and is still occurring.
My front pads are relatively low again, so I was going to replace them again as well as rotors.
Could this possibly be a stuck piston or pistons in the front brakes? How would I know? If I am able to push pistons back into caliper, would that mean they were not stuck?
Is there anyway to release a stuck piston? Someone had mentioned penetrating grease. Does that work?

I had the same issue - its the rear rotors.

Great. I'll replace rear rotors. It's been less tha a week, so this most likely wouldn't cause any problems with new pads?
When I change fronts, if pistons move in with clamp, how else would I be able to tell whether a piston could be stuck?
