Question regarding cat converter life.

I had a question to ask. I had to replace the cat converter on our 1999 Honda Odyssey at 148000 miles. I was suprised that it was bad. I thought I would ask if anyone with the 3.4L V6 4runners have had to replace there cat converters and if so how many miles did you have on it before installing new one. I heard that they are supposed to be a high flow with no restrictions. Just curious.

If it really was 14800 mi, it should not have failed and should have been under warranty.
If you meant 148000, you got more than your money's worth out of it.

AFAIK all cat convs are considered "high flow" these days.
