Question regarding JBL interfaces (Scosche vs Metra)

Hey everyone, i just got a kenwood 8120 installed and I'm having a couple of issues. when i'm driving it seems that most of the music is coming out of the front driver side speakers. all the other speakers seem to be very quiet in comparison.

I currently have the scosche adapter installed and my installer told me that with this adapter that i lose the functionality of adjusting the balance and fader. and to fix my issue, they need to install my stock headunit, adjust the balance and fader and reinstall my kenwood...does this sound right?

Does this same issue happen with the metra adapter (TYTO-01)?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

OK, now my only questions is for anyone who has installed the metra adapter (TYTO-01) or anyone with knowledge of the adapter.

with the metra, do you still retain the ability to use the fader and balance function? If so i think i'll be replacing the scosche.

Again, thanks to all who stopped by to read this.

I can't speak for the Scosche, but i can make adjustments with the Metra. The only problem that I had was when I was trying to make advanced adjustments like the speaker distance. The volume would fade in and out. I finally got it to stop once I set the fronts to the same and the backs to the same distance.

Another thing I've noticed now that I've had it in for awhile is that it will do it every now and then depending on the amount of time from the point that the key gets to ACC to turning it on (does that make sense?). When I use the remote start I don't have a problem, but when I start with the key it sometimes happens and then I end up pulling over and starting over.

It doesn't happen too often, but it is kind of annoying. When its working right it works well though. I've recieved compliments from some people who are all anti-stock (speakers + amp). I'm done now, sorry if I rambled on.
