Hello Group,
Avid reader, first time poster...
I'm looking to purchase a 4Runner in the next 2 months.
I have a few questions that I haven't been able to answer by reading the FAQ's or searching/reading past threads...
1) What do people do when transporting fuel containers? I have 2 5 gallon fuel tanks that I take with me to the lake every weekend for my boat. (~45 mile drive) Normally I'd shuttle these up in the open bed of a pick-up, but with the 4Runner, I obviously won't have the open bed. Would it be better to mount a Safari rack on the roof and transport them there, or will they be fine inside the vehicle? Both containers are brand new and do not leak. I am more concerned about the venting of the tanks...
2) Aux. Lighting - Is it easy to tie aux. lighting into the high/low beam setup? I'm thinking of adding some additional Hella lights on the front, and would like them to be activated by the same circuit/switch as the stock headlights.
3) Leather vs. Cloth - This vehicle will be my daily commuter. How does the cloth wear on these vehicles? I am OCD about my cars interiors/exterior, so thus far I have only looked at Leather interiors.
I think those are the 3 main questions I have right now... I've already answered most my questions by reading old threads.
