Questions about New Headlights

So the '98 headlights are fuzzy as everyone knows and I want to upgrade to the '99 and up headlights. I think they will look better, perform better, and match my clear corners better. I'm probably going to buy online from Ebay, this is assuming the quality is fine.

It's $180, kinda steep, but I think they will look good.

Questions

1. Has anybody with a '98 or down installed these?

2. Will my light output increase?

3. Is there a better site to buy from?

4. Are these Ebay lights decent as far as quality?

5. Any reason not to upgrade?

I got mine from Fo_Sheezy's '02 runner. I would say there is a definte light out put difference. Where I could tell the most difference was the width of the beam. I think the '02 headlights gave me a wider beam. I think ebay would be your best bet unless you can find someone on here or YT trying to get rid of some. Im not sure of any other site selling them. Maybe someone else will chime in.

nope. Just take out the old ones and put the new housing in. No aiming or adjusting needed.

That's great! Can't take but 30 minutes or so to change. I think there is a write up on Yota Tech too.

I swear, back when I had my 02 I sent 10 to 20 messages to different headlight companies and Ebay sellers but never got a response....

these are the JDM black headlights AND corners to match for $280. Brand New too. im not sure what color your runner is but these are sweet.

Has anyone found a cheaper site for the 99+ headlights? Burton Industries wants $319 a pair which is too expensive not to mention you will need to upgrade your endlights also. Haven't seen any on eBay either...

yesturday i ordered used 99+ oem headlights off of ebay.. both from different sellers. Driver was 65 shipped the passenger side was 44$ shipped they had detail pics up from different angels i couldnt help myself lol all together for about 100 bucks is a steal not to mention there oem.. they should be here in about 4-5 business days. i think you should search around ebay :boink:

went digging through car-part.com and although it only lets you check per side, there is a salvage yard in PA that lists right hand and left hand in "like new" condition from a 99 model limited for $90/pr. Pretty good deal

Also, NickF, are your lights from DEPO a darker shade (they look smoked)? Also, have you tried putting them in the oven to get the lens/glass part off to do a retrofit? Because I read in a forum that it is sometimes difficult to get the lens off in aftermarket headlights.

How about OEM 99+ lights?I saw them on eBay for $75 a pair. Thier not HID but they should put out more light than what came on stock -99?
