Questions about Six Disc CD Changer

I am considering purchasing a Toyota Six Disc CD Changer for my 2003 4Runner. How difficult is the install? I know that the unit goes into the front console box, but I have heard rumors that it is necessary to remove the dash and/or to cut the floor carpet.

Also, does anyone still have a copy of the Toyota Instructions for the 6 Disc CD Changer Installation that they could post (or is there a link)? I would like to see if this is something that I would feel comfortable doing myself.

I had the dealer install the changer. I don't know if there's a wiring harness preinstalled under the console. If there isn't I'd image you'd have to take apart the center dash to get a the radio head unit. The CD may fit in the small comparment above the glove box. Some of the early 4 Runner documentation put the CD in the glove box.
