Questions for some future mods

Here's my $.02.
I ran 2.5" Daystar spacers for over a year before I upgraded to my OME suspension and I wheeled the hell out of my truck and had no problems. Was it as good as my OME setup? No. Was it better than my stock setup? Yes. Did it cause damage to anything at all? No.

I agree it's better to do it right the 1st time if you can, but I didn't have the money to do a quality lift at the time either and had no regrets about doing the spacers first.

California is loaded with trails that 33s come in real handy. It kinda seems like you guys have made a lot of assumptions about how often and where 4runtit will be wheeling. I know for me, with trails like John Bull, Dishpan, Holcomb Valley, and Johnson Valley all less than an hour away from my house, 33's are alomost mandatory to not inflict stupid preventable damage. Spacers were affordable and allowed me to be able to hit those trails where I would have otherwise destroyed my rocker panels, bumpers, driveline, etc.

This is why I got sliders as the very first mod. Even with a lift and 33's, it will only be a matter of time of rocker panel damage running those trails.

I don't normally make assumptions, unless I can place a pretty safe bet. Just for the record, I have no problems with people lifting and putting MTR's on just for looks. It's your money. But don't try to act like a poser saying you NEED 33's and a 3" lift to go down fire roads.

Thanks Mr. Leary sounds like I'll have to do some modifications if I get those 295s, I'll look around some more. I got roof rack idea from crazydubman and it looks great on his t4r.

p nut where do i say i need 33s? That's what I was considering, and 33" seems pretty standard around here and that's what I want. Nor do I say that I will only be going down fire roads. I have a lot planned in the future and this is where I'm starting. I'm not gonna go back and forth with you because I don't have the time and that's not why I posted this thread.
