Questions on 2005 4Runner Limited

I just got a new 2005 Toyota 4 Runner this week, and I have 2 questions I wanted to see if anyone knew the answer to. I have not had a chance to get back to the dealer to check.

1) In the manual there is a picture of these grocery bag hooks on the rear wheel wells in the cargo area. I don't see these on mine. I have the cargo net holders up top, and there are two slots in the wheel wells for the double decker storage to clamp in, but no bag hooks. Anyone else notice this on the 2005 Limited? I am wondering if there is supposed to be something that snaps in there somehow that got missed on mine.

2) Is there something special about the VIN numbers in the slot showing through the windshield? No matter what light I look through it in, I cannot read the VIN number. All I see is a sticker kinda thing that has the word "Toyota" scrolled across it. Are they all like this?

First off, good luck with the new truck and welcome to the board!

1) I have not noticed any grocery bag hooks in my 05 Limited either. The only place that I see where you could hang bags from is four star shaped hooks just below the windows (2 on each side).

2) There is nothing special about the VIN number on the front window that I know of. You have to look at it from the right angle to see it. If you want to see the VIN number nice and clear, just look on the insdie of the drivers door.

I believe if you have the double decker cargo shelf, which all LTDs have, there are no grocery bag hooks because that is where the shelf locks are.

Thanks all. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something I was suipposed to have. This is agreat forum. I can't wait to read more. Love my truck. What a great vehicle. I had a friend (pick up truck driver) that told me I wan't allowed to call it a truck. OK, I know it's an SUV, but it's still built on a freakin truck body, so in my mind that is a truck as much as any truck is, only better. What is with these people?

I call them trucks too......"SUV" sounds so 2001
