quick brake question please help asap!

ok so my 4runner apparently came with the 15 inch brake package? my doorjam says 15 inch wheels were stock even though it had 16s when i got it and now 17s but my question is i am about to do my pads and rotors and there were no difference in the 15 and 16 inch pads so can i upgrade to the 16 inch rotors without changing anything?? i am about to order the brembo solids and i need to know which ones i can go with thanks

if you are upgrading to 16 inch rotors, then you would also need bigger calipers. i am betting that you already have the bigger rotors though. i don't remember the diameter of both rotors so maybe someone else will know and chime in

yea man i am totally lost cause i thought all along that i had the bigger rotors because the person that had it before me did not seem like the person to change out the wheels to 16s it was completely stock when i bought it but the doorjam says 15?? so i need to figure out which ones i have

I would just measure your rotors (unless someone on here knows the measurement already), then compare them to the 15" and 16" rotors at the parts store. The calipers size changes with the rotor size so if you have 15" rotors, you have 15" calipers and same with 16s.

the calipers are stamped s13wm and the computer is saying that they are for the 16 inch wheels im still confused as to why the doorjam says 15..:lightsaber:

Almost all of our door jams say 15s, but almost all of ours came with 16s. The dealers either switched them out or the factory didn't update their door tags. Either way it's extremely common.
