Long story short for my turbo build I just installed a new fuel pump. Issue is the sock doesn't fit properly and is causing the pump not to seal (long cranking after sitting due to pressure loss) so I'm pulling it back out this weekend and will be doing a little mod.
I decided a great option would be a quick disconnect fuel filter to avoid having to pull the tank every time.
To do this I got a few different things,
NAPA Gold 3296 fuel filter
This is a 5/16 quick disconnect compatible filter that is what comes in the URD kit.
5/16 fuel quick disconnects (2)
got these at oreilleys auto parts for 8 bucks. These are the correct size for the filter and 5/16 is also the fuel line size.
What I will be doing is cutting the oem hose and installing these two quick disconnects next to the fuel tank.
This will allow me to change out the fuel filter easily whenever I please and is a much higher flow than the in tank sock filter.
More Updates coming this weekend!
