HI all!
Just picked up my 05 4R Sport this past week.
Before I plan out my custom install, I was wondering if anyone has used Quick-Disconnect connectors in their systems? I have used a pair of cheap Radio Smack QD's in the past, but they were awful cheap and I couldn't use any cable thicker than speaker wire in them.
I really want my future amp/sub box to be completely removable in the event that I have to haul some cargo in the back, so I need QD's capable of accepting at least (1) 8 awg wire (power and ground). Then I'd be all set. I did this in my jeep, but wasn't able to find QD's so I just wired up my power/ground cables to inline fuses and now just them out of the fuse holder when I need to remove the box. Tough to explain, but it works. I want QD's for form and function though.
Any ideas/suggestions/opinions?
