Quick Maintenance Question

I am doing Timing belt, water pump, etc.
I am trying to get a list of the exact parts I need.
I'm going to list parts, if I miss any, please chime in.

Timing Belt,
Water Pump,
Thermostat,
50/50 Coolant,
Alternator (Mine is whining),
How many belts? (Serpentine belt, etc.)

Thats all I can think of...

You can buy a TB kit for like $300 and some change.

AC belt
Multi Belt
Crank Seal
Cam Seal (2)

IMO, buy an OEM timing belt and an OEM water pump.

That sounds like an awful lot! What do you want my truck to last 408K miles or something?!

Lol yes I do! But, that's what's entailed in the usual timing belt change since you have to take apart all that stuff anyway. If your water pump goes out, you have to take the timing belt off to get to it anyway, so people usually replace all that stuff at the same time while it's already apart.

Basically, you're looking at around $400 in parts if you're gonna do it yourself, including coolant.
More, if you want to replace your alternator too.

This might sound stupid but are the A/C, power steering and alternator belts all the same length/style?

I was thinking of just changing the alternator, water pump, 3 belts(ac, alt., and power steering), thermostat and thermostat seal, and timing belt.

I know two of the belts are the same length, the third is bigger though I think it's the multi belt that is bigger. Hopefully someone can chime in that knows more than I do.

Honestly, I'd replace the water pump while you're in there. Do you know the last time it was replaced? I ended up replacing everything on mine because I thought my water pump was out and it turned out it was the fan clutch idler bracket which is right next to the water pump. If your water pump decides to break after you've replaced everything else, you're gonna have to do the same amount of work just to replace the pump. A TB job is a good full days work.

But, know that after this maintenance is done, you shouldn't need to touch it for another 90-100k. It's just the usual 4runner maintenance.

There's also kits on Ebay that have all the parts required. Some OEM, some aftermarket. Here is one that I'm planning on getting when I do my TB replacement.
