Quick Poll - Grille/Emblem Color Scheme

I've been playing around with this and could use some feedback.

Options I have tried:
1. Black Grille / Imperial Jade Mica Emblem
2. IJM Grille & Emblem
3. Black Grille/ Gold Emblem
4. Stock Chrome Grille/ Gold Emblem

Options I have considered:
Chrome Grille/ IJM emblem
IJM grille/ Gold Emblem

Anyone else have any good ideas?

I'd say whatever you do, the emblem should stay silver. Gold anything is so 80s. I'm also debaing between either an evergreen pearl metallic grill or black, but the emplem will stay stock chrome. Anything else looks tacky.

The Gold is color it would have 'stayed' since it has never been chrome. I admit it's tacky, which is why I'm changing it up. The rest of my badges (the 'limited' ones on the side and all the rest on back) are still Gold, so I'm thinking Silver would clash. The IJM at least ties in the black grille with the rest of the ride. If I go with the IJM grille, maybe I'll black chrome all the emblems... that might be the ticket.

Oh ok, gotcha. Agreed, non matching emblems=bad. Black chroming them sounds like a good idea. If I had your truck, I think I'd paint the grill to match your fender flares and body cladding, then I'd move to all chrome badges personally. Good luck.

x2 the black really sets off the green, i think the one thing this poll turned up for sure is the fact nobody likes the gold emblems, well except rap guys and rap guys girlfriends......i mean just look at their emblems they're so like out there....like blah.... lol

Yeah the gold is gawdy. I had gold originally and switched to chrome years ago, but I couldn't find the front one at the time for a decent price (this is before CL existed) so it stayed gold and I forgot about it. A couple weeks ago Haddix (on here) told me to get rid of the gold and it kinda lit a fire under my ass so I just took the emblem off and shot it with some black spray paint and it looks much better now. I was thinking about doing the rest of the emblems black too but haven't decided if I want to or not yet (I like the look of the chrome on the back of my white truck).

Yeah man, do the IJM grille and black emblems.

I never got why Toyota sold these two toned trucks with a chrome grille.

Well, the majority opinion seemed to be color-keying the grille so today I went ahead and did it. I left the emblem-holding part of the grille black and the rest (including the emblem) is factory matching Imperial Jade Mica. I still have some buffing to do, but so far I like it. We'll see how long I keep it...
