Quick question abouy '04 brakes

I just bought an '04 V-8 4x4 Sport and was wondering if the front brakes have four piston calipers?

Yes...all 4th gen 4runners have 4-piston (on each side) calipers in the front. Your rears are 1-piston.

In fact, my 3rd gen 4runner has 4-piston calipers in the front also.

It is nice to see Toyota spending some extra money where it counts. I had a Z-71 Tahoe that weighed a lot more than my 4Runner and it had smaller rotors with two piston calipers in the front.
