quick tire/wheel question

Picking up a '06 4Runner tomorrow. I have a '11 Tacoma. On my Tacoma I have FJ Cruiser SE Anthracites, with Goodyear Duratracs. 265/75R16

The 4Runner has 265/65/R17.

Question is, will these fit if I swap. The sticky says I need a 2/1, but was wondering since it's a 16 wheel.

Thanks!!!!!!!

Doesn't matter if it's a 16 inch wheel, 265/75/16 = 265/70/17. You will fit them but it will be a tight fit and you might have to move the fender liner forward and cut/remove the mudflap. I had to do that with my Duratracs with a 3 inch lift but I think it's more because of my wheels' offset of 0, which is like having a 1.38 inch wheel spacer.

Tire size doesn't matter much if the wheel won't fit over the brakes. My understanding is that a 16" wheel won't fit over the Sport or Limited brakes. That's the thing you should probably investigate.

Yeah, the larger rotors were standard on the Sport Editions and an option on Limiteds, so yes definitely investigate which rotors are on there.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering if I should just sell my anthracites separately when I sell the Tacoma. It kills me because they were so hard to get. ugh.

If they're harder to get then you can sell them for more! You could always try them first though.

somewhat off topic, btu what makes these so hard to get?

I saw a set on an FJ in upstate NY the other day and they're badass!

FJ Cruiser SE Anthracites | eBay

They're very sought after by Tacoma owners. These are Special Edition FJ Cruiser wheels. The SE FJ's were a bit higher in price and these came on them. So when fellow Toyota owners found out about them, they were getting swarmed by the requests. Toyota started requiring VINs from the those requesting saying the SE FJ owners paid top price for these.

If you didn't have the right VIN (FJ), you were denied. I searched and searched and a dealer in Houston didn't care and sold them to me. I paid shipping from Texas. Anthracite is the most popular, but the black is pretty bad ass, too.

Just checked out your ebay link. WOW! I paid 600 plus 150 shipping from the dealer! Glad to see they're appreciating!

Yeah, no surprise, they're awesome. I want a set hah. Too bad I just spent all my money on my lift and a new sub/amp.
