qustion for cold start injector 3.0

iv had this running rich thing, and so i did all the test and cleaning and buying new parts and such, but the only thing that i havnt replaced was the cold start injector, i took it out and cleaned it, it wasnt dirty at all. so i got my book that tells me how much ohms should be coming from the sensor its self, when its cold its should be at 12-16 ohms, i tested it when it was hot and it was boncing from 8 to 11 ohms really fast.

my qustion is, should the ohms be boucing like that? ( yes i had good conection ) or should i wait til cold to test again?

Unsure of the ohm reading when hot.....i seem to remember mine bouncing when hot too, the surefire way to test it is just unbolt it & leave the wire and fuel line hooked up, have someone turn it over when it's cold out, it's either gonna squirt or it ain't, of course have a cup or can to catch the gas it may shoot out.

Or bench test it with cleaner and a battery charger.

i put it in a vise with the 'gas chamber' or open end up so it would hold carb/injector cleaner, and used a battery charger hooked up to the ohm meter wires ( w/out the ohm meter ) i put the battery charger on a low setting and touched the wires to the injector terminals, it shoots out the cleaner if it's working. Also makes a clicking sound while squirting gas, if i recall correctly.

You can also just unplug the electrical connector and see if it stops running rich. If it does, there's your issue. It will still start in all but severe cold without it anyway, just takes a little longer.
