Yeah i haven't messed with styrene yet, but i did do some fiberglass on this body. Here's my build thread so you can see what it looked like when i got it.

I know right? It really is a disease. And as if the 4runner thing wasnt bad enough. Atleast i dont have any money left for crack and hookers haha.
I pretty much only fly acro/3d these days. I have dabbled in sail, pattern, scale, ducted fan etc but i just find myself trying to do acro with those anyways so...
Plus it upsets the old people and purists when you hang a cub on the prop or do torque rolls with a warbird.
Love that fj of yours. Heres a couple old crawlers i messed with for a while. Axial scorpion and a scratch frankenbuild. Dont really have the time or money for those anymore lately. Same goes for helis and boats. Sigh...
So what else you guys got out there? Have you all seen this guys scale rc 4runner vids? Pretty cool.

That is a BadAss FJ! I gave this up not too long ago when my feild dissolved and my buddies quit flying. Mikado Logo 600, V-bar, 12s Li-Po....Massive power!
And I thought 3s was a lot of power....

These have both been sold now, but I built these from axial axles and transmissions and brazed the cages from 3/16 auto brake line.
This is a 73 bronco that I named Hannibal. the build thread at scale 4x4
it had a working winch, lights, and a mp3 player mounted inside a scale speaker box behind the seats.
This was taken at a scale RC tank battlefield at a NC tank museum. the green one is a MK1 scorpion I built for a friend.
This next one I never even got it completely finished with electronics so I never drove it. I have another clear FJ40 body in my garage now, so I think I will build another one like this. the FJ40 build thread at scale 4x4
some specs on this one are again a working winch, 15 led lights incl rock lights under the front fenders, and one led to light up the gauges on the dash.

I found a 4 runner body at RC4WD. link to 4runner body
I may have to trade my spare FJ40 body and build one of these and paint it to match mine. I should be able to make a grill and headlights to look more like a 4th gen, and then just put some shrockworks type bumpers on it.
I also just found someone that makes an ABS plastic body of a 1st Gen 4R.
