If replacing the factory racks, which do you prefer? What do you haul around? I use Yakima racks in the rack channels to transport my outrigger canoe myself.

I am a bigger fan of Yakima then Thule... but then I am also biased being a Yakima dealer. Well I guess I am a dealer of both, however we only stock Yakima. They are coming a long with with upgrading their styles to be more modern. However they still offer the more rugged looking deisgns if that is what you are looking for. I have an 06 limited and I just bought a set of lowriders and placed those on the factory rack. Works great and looks good too.

I recently bought a Thule trailer hitch bike rack for my truck because the dealer was out of Yakima and I didn't want to wait. I haven't had a problem with it, I think its absolutely great.

That being said though, I have had many Yakima products before and Yakima will continue to be my first choice.

Yakima...5 year old attachments and bars still going strong. Besides the roundbar design from Yakima can hold more weight.

Thule is more expensive, but I also think better. Thuke offered me the features Yakima did not in a nicer looking more robust package. MHO
