Radiator leak, and oil leak maybe tranny? Not sure what should I do?

Hey guys I got a very clean 89 runner and it just had a engine rebuilt with all imprtant parts head gaskets polished and done, radiator and altinater and much more,done by professionals. and now I got the couple of things I personally was afraid of leaks. It could be a easy fix Idk haha maybe it's gaskets? Or tubing? Or I got a radiator Leak it's green fluid and what can I do or what needs to be checked or done to fix it? And I have a oil leak (I think) it's up front close to front axile, it could be tranny? What's your best guess or how could I tell what it is?. What should I get replaced to help a oil leak or tranny leak? Thanks yota bros and btw it's a 3.0 v6

Honestly man, that description of your problem makes it very hard to help you out.

What engine do you have?

Take off your skid plate... Can you see where the leaks are coming from?

Hey man sorry I don't know much about engines, it's a 3.0 v6 and I haven't tried that but for the problems I listed theres 2 leaks one I know is the radiator(green fluid) and one is ether the tranny or oil, I think, the best thing that would help me man is if you told me how I can fix all three Or what need to be replaced probably or what I could look at. thanks!

Take off your skid plate... Can you see where the leaks are coming from?

They are coming from the front of the vehicle dripping down the right side mostly to the middle, I see more wetness on right side of the engine from under the car and it's dripping off

If your radiator is leaking, GENERALLY there will be water droplets beading up along the lowest points of the radiator.

If the green is coming from somewhere else, well, there may be a problem. Check that all of your coolant hoses are secure, for starters. After that, you'll have to get a bit more in depth with mechanical parts i.e. your water pump.

As far as oil... In the 1st Gen 4Runners typically your oil leaks will run from where they originate, down to the oil pan, drip onto your differential, and then drip to the ground from there.

If I were you, I would try and wipe off my engine pretty well, and monitor it for a day or two to see if you can notice any oil appearing, where you previously cleaned up.

MY runner Is manual, and the green fluid if coming from the very front under the car

That is a good sign. What I am about to tell you, I am sure I will get a lot of crap for, but, it has worked for me on more than one occasion.

Head to autozone and get a bottle of radiator stop leak. Read the instructions, and follow them. In a day or two, flush your coolant system. See if that solves it =)

Thanks I'll defiantly consider it man sounds good, I just hope it holds afterword, still gotta figure out the other leak

Honestly man, there are 1,000,000 things that could be leaking oil. ESPECIALLY with the 3.0. It is nearly impossible for me to help you out with that one, since I cannot physically be there to poke around. My best advice would be to do some cleaning of your engine, and just look for where the oil reappears.

not a lot of power, head gasket issues, and the durability of the 22RE is legendary.
and I too have a 3.0 with an auto. I find that it has enough power to do what I need it to. Before I bought mine I test drove 2 that I did not buy that were 22RE motors and manual trans. I found both of them to be completely underpowered and it was even worse when I put the A/C on. Brought me back to the days when I had a Mercedes 190 with a 2.2 non turbo diesel and it didnt have enough power to get out of its own way

I'm having the same problem with mine leaking oil to right out of the front near the axle I was told that it could be coming from the oil pan gasket. I don't know much about working on vehicles. I can change my oil, brakes and a few other small things maybe this will help

I would pull the skid plate and attempt to locate source of coolant leak, not a fan of additives as a fix; particularly if source is unknown, my experience has been usually short term and eventually will have to deal with results when it comes to making the repair?? Secondly, need to determine if transmission, or engine leak and not sure if able to determine difference between the manual trans gear oil to that of the lower viscosity engine oil; perhaps more knowledgeable member can advise?
