Radiator question, 2 additional hoses, tranny related?

I am currently doing the timing belt replacement, and had to take out the radiator in order to get a impact in there.

Long story short, there are 2 additional smaller hoses going into the radiator, Not the Main large hoses for the coolant.

Looks like it feeds to the tranny cooler???

The concern is once i disconnected the hose, the oil was Black/grey.
Is this signs of the tranny oil? isnt the tranny oil suppose to be red?

I would like to know so i can schedule a tranny flush if its the case.

I did not have to take the radiator out when I did my timing belt but most likely the hoses are the trans cooler. The 4runner V8 has one in the radiator and one external cooler.

Yes i have a v8...that means my tranny oil is in dire need of replacement.

unless the normal color is Grey with a hint of black...??

I have an impact, couldnt get it in there with the radiator in the way
