Radio and Climate Control Lights

The radio lights are out, but flash on occasionally when I hit a bump or hit the dash. I think the climate control lights are completely out. I know there are a ton of threads discussing the lights....Anyone in CT want to change these for me, or help walk me through it? If I could pay someone a little to have it done in less time, I feel like it would take me a day to take apart the dash and probably never get it back together!

let me know, or if you could point me in the right direction to get the right bulbs or tighten the connections....

It's not worth going to the dealer for the repair, right?

Dude, it's very simple and not time consuming. You'll spend more effort trying to find someone to do it for you. I don't think there is much to be done for the radio. Since you are throwing money around, invest in a new head unit that fits - a double-din. It'll look and sound better for not a lot of money. The AC unit is a couple of bulbs and it is documented how to do it, around here somewhere. I can't remember if I found the how-to here on youtube or both but it was easy to find and easy to do. The bulbs were ridiculously expensive for what they are but I did get them from a dealer. Once I watched how to do it, I think it took me all of 15 to 20 minutes to swap out the ac unit bulbs and the one under the shifter display.

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to try to take it apart this weekend and see what I can do. Would you mind pointing me towards the best/easiest step by step instructions.
 
I have the AD6803 with non-working lights. What other models would fit in the same slot, using the same wiring?? Would the JBL 6-disc stock model fit right in? I don't want to change any wires....
 
any stock unit for a 3rd gen will fit. As long as you still have your amp, which I'm assuming you do, all models will be plug and play. You should not have to do any wiring, just snapping the harnesses together.
If the JBL unit you're referring to is from a 3rd gen, then it should fit.

That's what wiring harnesses are for. For $200, or even less, you can get an aftermarket unit that is brand new, will fit using factory brackets, and is pretty easy to install. If you get a vehicle specific wiring harness, it just plugs right in to where the old unit did and then it's really just a matter of connecting same colored wires together between the new unit and the harness.
