Radio stolen - Need help!!!!

Last week my pioneer cd player was stolen out of my '96 t4r. I can't remember the model #, it was a single din lowest end model that came with my truck when i bought it. Why soneone would want to steal a $70 crappy cd player is beyond me....

Anyway, I purchased a new Pioneer single din head unit to replace it and I bought the dash kit (basically the pocket under the radio), and the wiring harnesses (probably useless b/c the harness is still intact).

Well, after looking at the instructions on the install kit, and looking at my butchered dash, it looks as if the @sshole that ripped my radio out, also might have ripped the factory mounting brackets as well. But I'm not 100% sure....

Does anyone have a picture of their dash with the radio out where I could see what exactly the mounting brackets are supposed to look like, or does anyone have, or know where I could find a Haynes-type drawing of the the dash what the radio factory mounting brackets are supposed to look like? ANY help is GREATLY appreciated!!!! Seriously, I have been driving in silence for the last week, and it's killing me!

I'll try to attach pictures of my dash... If they don't go through I can send them to anyone that can help me out...

Pleeeeze someone help me out!!! I really really want to get this stereo in my car this weekend...

here's one straight on of the dash... the previous is a close up of what i perceive to be the right side (passenger side) mounting bracket...

Yep it looks like the 'shroud' bracket is gone. Luckily he didn't use wire cutters on the harness, as most thieves do.

I don't have any idea what the bracket looks like, sorry.

This reminds me of a story my friend told me. He had a really crappy mazda truck, someone had given him a used cd-player, so he installed it. After a few weeks someone broke into his truck and stole the cd player (which was used and not really worth anything).

After that he went to the store and bought a am/fm radio head unit, the cheapest he could find and installed it.

A couple of weeks later in the same parking lot where the cd player had been stolen, someone had broken into his truck, half removed the am/fm radio and left it connected half-in and half-out of the dash. It's the like the thief couldn't believe someone would install something so worthless!

Hey thanks guys! i ended up going to the local dealer this morning and picking up the brackets, it set me back about $20 bucks. But I installed the new cd player, and this time it has a detachable face, and it sounds soo much better that the previous one. I'm going to be looking into an alarm with a 2-way transmitter as soon as I can save some $$$ for it...

The thing I hate the most about getting radios stolen is that they screw up stuff behind the dash. I'm missing a few screws, a knob cover on the a/c panel, and I have a small (about 1/8") gap on the side of the center shroud. Grrrrrrr....

its almost wierd to say, but it woulda been nice if they messed up more, cause atleast you could have gotten your comprehinesive insurance to cover it
