Rear Cargo Mat Question

My T4R has the optional cargo slide rack and I want to put in a rear cargo mat from Weather tech or Husky but both websites state that they only fit on the 4R with out the slide rack. Has any one ordered one with the slide rack installed? I dont see why it wont fit. The back cargo area is the same shape. It just seems like it will sit a little higher because of the slide rack.

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and still not in yet. I did receive the front and back seats. I emailed HuskyLiners and this is the response i got from Steve.

I released the part numbers for the Cargo Liners (there are 3 of them) too early and it has taken longer than I anticipated for them to be completed…We did begin shipping last week on the cargo liner for the 4Runner with the sliding cargo tray. We should begin shipping on the cargo liner for the “standard” cargo area (the part you ordered) late this week or early next.

I have attached a photo of part #2572 ran from the pattern the tooling was created from. It is an accurate description of how the part will fit. The finish will be much better when the part is ran from tooling.

I just purchased a rear cargo liner for the sliding deck on realtruck.com, $79.95 with a 10% off promotion going on until 3/21 I got it for $71.95 with free shipping. Item #HLR-25731

It apparently just covers the deck area, Husky told me a couple weeks back that it was a two piece liner but I called again today and was told it's a one piece.

It looks like Toyota has released their own rubber custom formed cargo mat/tray for the 4R. It actually looks pretty good, and should fit the models with the slide out tray, even covers the corners to the sides in the back! It is on their accessory page:

They call it a 'Cargo Tray'. I am going to call my dealership tomorrow to see how much that will set me back, will let you know what I find out!

Is it possible to take out the rear cargo slider and just put in the factory rear mat. Will there be any holes from the brackets or anything?

That picture is with a t4r that has 3rd row option, and if I had one I would get this. Looks pretty good, but I don't see how it would work with the sliding tray. When you pull it out, the sides are going to get hung up, and also that area is lower than the tray itself when you have it. I do like that it is rubber and not molded plastic though...better for doggie. Now that I have had my husky for a while, I am actually liking it. I removed my cargo stopper, and now when I put heavy items onto the sliding tray, I can still very easily pull it out, even though the back of it does cover the area behind the tray. The areas on either side by the subwoofer and the jack compartment are molded plastic anyways, so no liner needed right there anyways.

I agree, it would work best for the 3rd row or those who do not have the tray. If you do not use the tray that much you could use this mat, the only issue would be the spaces to the sides in the back w/o support (like you pointed out), but I think that it should be strong enough to hold its shape, and as long as you do not put heavy items there it should be ok. I just don't like having the smaller mat in the back, I feel there is so much 'wasted space'. I have a feeling I would not keep this mat in the 4R at all times, so it just might work for what I am looking for. I will have to think about it.

Either case, called my dealer and asked about. Nothing was in their system so they call Cali, they said it was not available yet, but should be shortly.
