I love my Rago cross bars. Got them this summer and couldn't be happier.

It's worth noting that my original shipment was damaged by UPS and the Rago team (Melissa and Jessica) were fantastic and had new cross bars shipped out before my road trip.

Today I just mounted some tie down brackets I had made to go with the Rago cross bars. I love that the cross bars come with the integrated bolt receivers. They make mounting accessories a breeze.

I want to be able to easily tie down over sized loads like a 4x8 sheet of plywood and also protect my XM antenna from those loads. I designed these tie down brackets and antenna guard and had a local steel fabrication shop build them for me. And by design I mean I mocked up some cardboard (super low tech). I had another local shop powder coat them to match the rails that I had them coat last summer.

those are nice. im really leaning towards the supports. i think i could fabricate some braces like that if i set my mind to it, great idea thanks for sharing

The roof clearance is tight, but adequate. Haven’t had any issues with rubbing.

The benefit of cutting it close is that it keeps the road noise down.

What noise? I didn't hear the OEM bars, I don't hear these.

I’ll go a step further- I don’t notice any noise difference between only roof rails (no cross bars) and and having the Rago supports installed.
