Rain,rain More Rain !!

Depending on your location here we've got 10" since tuesday . Lots of basements flooded , man made lakes ( by damming ) having dams break and draining all the water out of these huge lakes. The sites on the news here is unreal .

On tuesday I had to drive through 6" deep and about 200 feet long of water to get up to my home at the HIGHEST point in the subdivision , my basement has been bone dry . Actually dont even have a sump pump.

The fox river runs through my subdivision entrance . People next to the river already have had water up to 3 steps from the top in their basement .

Also includes , hail , high winds , lot of tornados . This has been going on pretty much non stop all week since tuesday.

Hey man. our thoughts and prayers are with you. we just missed the omaha and iowa tornados sseeing flooding the whole way back.........take care!!

I'm lucky I don't have the problems these others do here. I can't believe how hard its pouring , for days !! I think we've had a 1 day break. Even some of our major hiways are closed because the bridges that go over the rivers are now under water.

I hear 'ya Falls, I am prob. about 50 miles south of you and we have been getting pummeled also. On top of all the rain we are getting all your rain flows down to Illinois, the Fox and Des Plaines rivers are getting really high and still have not crested.

Oh well, I am going camping this weekend so lets hope I don't need a trolling motor on the camper. Stay safe and dry.

We saw nothing but storm tracks coming and going to Philly from Kansas to Wisconsin.......dodging tornado tracks by hours usually. My companion says the Scorpions were the most stable tire she has ever been on. She drove through much of the heaviest rain (she is from Kansas) and says it the most fun she has had with her clothes on in a long time. Back to Sacramento today.......great road trip. Will post a couple more pics when I land.

Falls, I just spoke to a buddy of mine in Oshkosh. He says it crazy there too. (He's only 30 minutes from you?) He's doing fine but other neighbors are flooding.
