Raingler Cargo Ceiling Net FAIL Turned to WIN

Next time when starbucks puts too much almond milk in the OP's decaf coffee, he will be back on this forum to complain how his world is about to end.

LOL.....

Op should update his original post, but he probably won't because his time is too important.

Good thing you put them on blast first.

I had a little order snafu recently and emailed them. They responded immediately, now sending return label and replacement. They’re an outstanding company with a great customer service. You just have to contact them instead of whine on the internet.

EDIT: Maybe change the title to your post. Or don’t because you got what you want now.

***UPDATE***

Raingler_Nets got into contact with me last weekend and offered to upgrade me to one of their hybrid models they had in stock so they could ship it out on that Monday. It was awesome to see them communicating with me on this forum on a Saturday and Sunday!:thumb: At the same time they sent over a return label for the incorrect net and I shipped it back to them. True to their word, the new net arrived Thursday and I was finally able to get in installed today.

The new net took only 5 minutes to hang up and fits exactly how it was described. I'm nothing short of pleased with their customer service and I'm very happy with how this turned out.

Awesome. I may suggest you edit your original posting, thread title included, to recognize how they've both attempted, and followed through, to make things right. These easy steps can help small business's out a lot!

What would one typically store in the net? I

In the webbing I store my two paddles for my canoe and one for a packraft along with hiking trekking poles and an umbrella. After hikes I hang sweaty clothes to dryout. Also works nice when sleeping in the back to suspend my phone between strap pieces of the webbing and watch a movie before I fall asleep.

Above the netting and mesh I store quilts (sleeping bags) life jacket, rain jacket and other jackets, some clothing, first aid kit, paper towels, toilet paper and other lightweight things.

Not just one of these at a time, but all at the same time. It works really well for me. I do get concerned about something falling out the back when the window is open, like most of the time in summer, but it has yet to happen.

But that's not how this internet thingy works! How can he be a billybada$$ by doing the sensible thing?

I dunno, if he hadn't posted I would never had heard about what a good company they are. Heck, I might not have heard of them at all.

Thanks all!

I've updated my original post and the thread title. Posting my experience on a public forum has brought together some great discussion and allowed Raingler Nets to show what kind of outstanding customer service they have. After all, they are a sponsor/vendor on this forum.

Not quite sure why so many positive posts for a company that evidently ships out the wrong item . Yeah they make it right evidently but it’s pain in the ass to set time away for install and to enjoy your product and only to find out its the not the right item and then having to go through additional leg work to get the right item. Increase the quality of the experience that your consumers are paying for. Blasting these misfortunes on this forum is what this forum is made for, partially. Thicken your skin and let people express their experiences with whatever company rather it be a positive or negative experience. Don’t make someone feel like an ass for using their given right to express themselves.

I'll second johnbt's point of not noticing their ad, so in an odd way they may be picking up future customers? Maybe time for a scrolling banner atop with our sponsors and their available products & / or new offerings. Might be something they can benefit from as well as T4R.ORG's income stream?

Glad they fixed it. That definitely looks like something I could actually use in the Runner..

As for the other comments about how to handle these situations.. I agree, contacting the company directly before posting online is the better course of action. Once youve gone that route, then "you are free to move about the cabin". *But there are rare occasions where a public post is a good idea.

As a Consumer/Browser I can honestly say that I tend to notice threads like these more than threads that sing the praises of products. This thread made me look at their products thoroughly, and I can honestly say this thread has put the brand and product on my radar as something to buy in the near future. This all depended on how it was handled, and I can say that I expected the manufacturer to make it right. It was clear to me that the unit the OP posted in his pics wasnt intended for our vehicles. It was clear a mistake was made.

My skepticism on glaringly positive reviews is based on my personal experiences as a reviewer on Youtube and seeing how things work across Industries. This Industry is no different, and because of how expensive product are in this segment, it is hard to find someone being 100% honest about the products they spent a lot of money on (Who wants to admit to buying a $2k rack system that is junk), and what it was like dealing with the Manufacturer/Retailer.

I didn't realize it ran that far. I thought it went only barely over the rear seats. So the full length must run over the front the seats.

Yes. If you look at the my previous post with pictures, you can see how far up the net goes. It's just 2 posts above your post.
