Ran into a mystery while attempting blue wire mod

I have been reading up on the various mods, and decided the "Blue wire mod" would be the easiest for non-mechanical types like me....I removed the sash and kick plate, and while looking at the multitude of wires, noticed that there was a ground screw in the bottom of the wire tray under the sash, and a small bundle of wire that had been terminated. I have pictures that I'm gonna post now. I saw at least 3 white connectors full of wires, but I think I took pics of the right one. If anyone knows what the ground that was cut in the wire tray, I'd appreciate a little schooling. Thanks! Oh, '98 SR5 RR DIFF enabled....

Kind of tough to say with what we can see from the pic. Definitely not an OEM ground but could've been for anything from an aftermarket alarm to a handsfree phone kit. Whats inside that cut black wire? Almost looks like a coax cable but tough to say.

Same here. Looks as though something aftermarket was installed, and then somewhat casually removed.

The fancier the car alarm was, the more wiring mess it leaves behind. Auto windows? More wires. Remote start, more wires.
