Does anyone like the Rancho RS5000 shocks? They say it is the best selling SUV shock on the market. However from what most people say the bilstein is the way to go. Anyone have any insight into the Rancho shocks. They have not been talked about much in any post. I have heard that the RS5000 is a hard ride but Rancho claims it offers a super highway ride? what gives? Most of my driving is on the highway, so I dont want to buy something and then end up not liking it. Thanks For the Help.

I had them on my 91 Toyota 4X4 pickup truck. they are much better then stock, the ride was stiffer but I like driving a TRUCK.

I believe the reason they are "the best selling shock" is because you can get them everywhere.

Rancho,Bilstein,KYB they are all good.

Thanks, the feel of a truck is fine with me, if i wanted to drive a sports car I would buy one. The ride was not a rough beat you to death ride though correct?

Yes but harder then stock...but then you are going from a soccer mom feel to a truck feel.

know what I mean. Some people don't like that.

No personal experience here, but Bilsteins come factory on the TRD package trucks.

When I need to buy shocks I am going with the same shocks that the factory puts on the Off road trucks. If it's good for the factory its good for me.

so what would yall suggest for someone who wants a smoother ride? when i had my stock cd player in, it would skip on almost every bump. I put a new one in and the skipping stopped. I would still like to get a smoother ride though. And i know i cant make it ride like a mercedes b/c its a truck chasis but just to make it smoother will make me happy. so any suggestions?
