Random acts of crappy!

So, the other day I went to a park to watch a softball game. After the game was over I returned to my 4runner to find out that some really cool person had decided that it would be fun to run a key (or something) along the entire length of the passenger side. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?!?!?!?! :gun4: Fortunately, it didn't go too deep and I think most of it can be repaired without re-painting (assuming I can find the right product to use) except for one little spot about 1/8" long.

That sucks. My condolences.

If it is a crazy vindictive ex, then ok, I can maybe understand why it was done (though obviously don't agree), but when it is random, what is the point? They don't even see the pain it causes the owner, so what is the motivation? Other than being an unmitigated **** of course.

Meguirs Scratch-X used to be the bomb when it came to removing scratches like that. I haven't use it for like 4 years though, so it might not be as good as it used to be. Or it might be better. But some elbow grease (or a dual action orbital buffer) and you'll be in business.

Oh yeah, and people that do that kind of crap just plain suck. Makes no sense. I had my 2006 VW GTI vandalized randomly with a BB gun last year. Dented the hatch and took the paint off. I was beyond pissed.

the pleasure comes from being an asshat douchebag who has never worked hard for anything nice in their whole entire lives, the pleasure comes from destroying something that is nicer then they will ever own, they get some sort of sick pride in ruining something that they feel deep down they want but can't have because it is too good for them, in which they are right, i don't quit get it but i can see why they feel justified in doing such a thing at the time, if it was an ex well that's your fualt for getting caught up with a crazy cow in the first place, sure crazy chicks are great in the sac but a keyed car is the price you pay for that 9if you lucky) should have known that going in, lol,

anyways sorry that happened man, i f'ing hate people, good luck with the scratch fix, i've never done anything repair wise to something of this degree most of my scratches just buff out with wax if i'm willing to put that much effort in, i hope you get it fixed and isn't noticeable by the time your done!

Guy where I used to work keyed my Acura a whole month after I got it. I was never sure of it until I dated his ex, who told me such. His S10 then promptly got a whole treatment of mothballs in the gas tank. Amazing what mothballs can do to fuel injectors. Then to make matters worse for the SOB (a machinist), a shard of glass cut his cornea and he could not see out of one eye for six months.

No crazy ex out there for me... unless one of my ex's recently made the trip to wacky town and decided to come after me fifteen years later. Stranger things have happened I guess. Even then, I think my ride would be a lot more messed up than it is. This had to be totally random.

I have to say though, it scares me to think about what might happen if I caught someone in the act of doing something like this.
