Raptor lights on a 2020 Non TRD Pro Grille

I've been trying to find pictures of anyone that's installed raptor lights on the 2020 without a Pro grille. The top grille doesn't have the same diamond cut outs due to the silver bars, and the TSS is in the middle on the lower grille.

I'm playing around with placement, what are your guy's thoughts? Has anyone else mounted them around the TSS and can share a pic? Any option besides buy a Pro grille at the moment is open.

it looks ok down there but I do think it would look better up top, below the silver bar. Can u fab a bracket or zip tie it?
 
Self admit I’m not the handiest of people but there’s not a lot of real estate for zip ties or a bracket. A rectangle light would have been a better option up there, I was pretty over zealous when I got the 4runner and started buying lights. I didn’t realize it was a different set up than previous years.

These Look great! I am also looking for the Tri Color emblem for my grille. Anyone have a good source for those?
 
Looks like I may need to fab or zip tie as it is if I want to keep these style lights. I did not realize the diamond cutouts on the lower grille are slightly larger than those on the upper grille of 2019 and older Runners as well as the Pro grilles. The lights will not securely stay in place without some kind of alteration.

The diamond slots on the upper grille measure about 1.25" in height and the lower grille are 1.5".

I'll update the thread again when I figure out another option.
 
Think I’d move them down 2 rows if it were me. The wait until they come out with rectangular ones for the upper portion.

I’ve been wanting to install some on my 2020 as well, but I think I’ll wait till I pick up a heritage grille. I did wrap the silver bars in gloss black though, and it makes the front end look much better.

I dont think people do this because they want to mimic the ford raptor. The idea came from the raptor but that is where it ends. I admit, the grille lights on our 4runners would serve no purpose whatsoever except for they look cool to some of us. Do they really serve a purpose in the grille of a raptor? NO, they dont. Clearance light should be up on the roof and on the corners of the truck - not in the grille. Ford took the cheaper route with their raptor. I put two in my grille of my 2018 because I like the way they look, not because it needs them. And no, amber lights on a truck are definitely NOT altezza ricer anything.

Ford is required by FMVSS/DOT to put clearance lights on the Raptor. If they didn't meet the letter of the law, they wouldn't be permitted to sell the vehicle. Personally, I think they found an elegant solution to not putting hideous cab lights on a sporty upmarket truck.

None of that changes the fact that they serve no purpose on a 4Runner other than to those who like the look for whatever reason.

Are they also going to install the back up warning beep?
 
I guess I'm a goober then since I still like the look of the lights whether they serve a purpose or not. I think that goes for any aesthetic mod people do to their cars, to make it appealing to themselves. Thankfully with the exception of passing DEUS-MACH1NA on I-5 somewhere in Seattle, I may not be offending any of your non-goober eyes when I finally figure out how to mount these things.
 
Throw a hood “bug deflector” and an American flag window decal on there to round things out.

When you get bored again, hit up Victory for a sweet rear ladder to hold your Rotopax fuel container.

I kid. Life is short. Do what ya want. The more people tacking on that junk just make me appreciate mine all the more.
