Good looking out. I missed out on that gb last year and glad I can jump in on it this year. That extended rack coverage skid has got my name on it.

Yeah I missed last years and now I'm saving for tundra brakes, rack guide and a few other things. Maybe next year.

That's funny; in the last year I've done the TBU and I have a steering rack sitting in front of me waiting to be installed next week. Sounds like you've got your priorities in order. Good luck with your upgrades, you're going to love those Tundra brakes.

Just FYI I had to grind the lip to make it fit with my bumper, no biggie, but just be awares

Did you have to grind it because your bumper fits differently than stock, or because the skid was irregularly sized? I'm just wondering because I have the stock bumper and was interested in getting a quote for powder coating... unless I'm going to need to grind it first to make it fit.

Install it and test fit/grind then get it powder coated locally. Or just rattle can the area you had to grind on if you powdercoat first.

Its a CBI tube bumper for a Tacoma. Most aftermarket bumpers require cutting and grinding of the front frame rails on later model 3rd gens (at least the two I've had, CBI & ARB).

All I had to do was grind groves to fit around the tube. The skid plate is mounted directly to my front bumper.
