Rattle found...and fixed!

So there was this incessant rattling noise coming from the left door/emergency brake pedal area. It would only occur while driving...at around 10mph and 30-40 mph...and was loud enough to be heard over the stereo (unless turned up loudly).
Well...after taking all of the door panel and sill attachments off...I finally found the culprit.

It was a piece of plastic; a large blue shaped plastic bulkhead grommit designed to protect the wire cabling running into the driver side door.
You'll need to remove the following to get to it:
-Take the left foot rest off (just pull it towrds you from the right side of the foot rest);
- Remove the left door sill (pull up from the edge closest to the left foot kick panel, gently, and work your way aft towards the rear edge of the door frame, then lift up on the forward end);
- Then unscrew the black nut holding the left foot kick panel and pull the panel towards you from the edge of the door jamb;
You'll clearly see this piece surrounding the cabling.
-Disconnect the two cables.
- Then unscrew the gold colored screw holding the kick plate attachment bracket facing you (this will greatly facilitate removing and replacing the plastic piece).
I took it out and put a nice thick bead of black silicone gasket sealer on the metal surface (not the plastic piece...it will make a mess getting back on otherwise).
After that...no more noise.
Don't know if this has happened to anyone else, yet, but for what it's worth here's the info.
It was driving me absolutely nuts.

What year and model 4Runner do you have?

I'm sure glad you were able to isolate where the noise was coming from, things like that can drive you crazy... and for some of us, it's a very short drive.
