Rattling License Plate Frame

I installed my new plates with the dealer plates (plastic), and now I have a rattle when crossing over lane reflector bumps, other road undulations and when shutting the back door. It sounds really tinny and cheap!

Has anyone had to remedy this problem? If so, I need ideas.

Do I need to insulate the back of the plate if I run with no frame?

Are there some frames that have rubber along the inside to isolate the vibration?

Yep, mine did that too. Try those rubber feet for glass table tops. That worked for me.

I had a short length of 1 inch x 1/2 inch thick weatherstripping in my shop. It was peel & stick, so I stuck it to the back of the license plate. Works great. The OEM design isn't up to the quality I expect from Toyota.

well, i looked and i didn't have the plate into the frames slots. i reinstalled them and there is much less rattle. but there is some when i shut the back door. i will try the rubber feet.
