I received my order confirmation on the 23rd at 0730PST...30min after the GB opened, so I had to be one of the first to place an order: Full alum skids plus fuel tank.

Still no shipping update and several people that have ordered after me have received theirs.

Not really complaining, just curious about the method behind the madness here and how some are receiving orders who ordered late in the GB while others are still waiting.

I did reach out to them via email and was pretty much told they were overwhelmed and lead times were now 3-4 weeks. I'm on 4 weeks now, hoping Ill get an update this week.

From the feedback though, they will be worth the wait.

An order confirmation is just that, a confirmation. It's just confirming they received your order, and nothing more.

If your order hasn't shipped it's due to one of more item(s) not being in stock. Therefor, lead times will go into effect on your order. Traditionally, these lead times have been around 3-4 weeks simply due to the shear volume of these group buys. There are some instances were lead times go longer due to material shortage, powder coating, and delaying from suppliers.

Whoop. Got my tracking number. Will be here Thursday. Ordered on the 2nd and will receive on the 17th. Not bad for a group buy.

I ordered on the 23rd and hasn't shipped. It probably wont be much longer. Most likely...some part of this order needs to be manufactured...other pieces might be in stock but something is keeping the order waiting. ->

I received this email from RCI today:

Thank you so much for your patience. We were slightly set behind our aluminum production because we didn't get our aluminum material shipment from our supplier on time so I apologize. We have started our big aluminum production run and should have your order completed by the end of the week. As soon as I have it all ready to go I will send you an email with tracking information and send it your way.
 
Got these in late last night, but was only able to get the front skid on.

Hope to get the rest on by the weekend and put them to use...

I received my aluminum set last Friday and they went on pretty easily, except for the front filler plate. Mine was cut wrong. I contacted RCI Tuesday and they are replacing it. They had a bad batch of those go out. So, if you bought that front filler plate you might want to check. On mine, the grooves that fit around the front bolts of the engine skid were offset by about 3 inches, so the plate sits too far to the drivers side and nothing lines up with the front holes. It's pretty obvious if you look at it.

Oh good to know. Haven't even taken my filler plate out of the box yet. Thanks for the info.
 
Ok...finally it was my turn! Got my full aluminum skid package, fuel tank, and lower link skids.

I had a few issues. Biggest issue...was that I installed it without lifting up the 4nr at all (I don't have a floor jack, or tire ramps, etc). It was dang tight under there!

Next...I didn't realize that the OEM filler plate doesn't install completely correctly back. The 3 most forward bolts work fine so it does attach back to the 4nr, but the rear 3 bolts can't be reattached. So....it just hangs there. I would have bought RCIs filler plate then. What is everyone else doing? Are most just letting it be half installed and just hang?

After I installed 3 front, transmission, etc skids, I moved to the fuel tank. But...how in the world are you removing the OEM bolts that are on the OEM legs? One in particular I can't get enough room to get a wrench in to remove the bolt....the drive shaft blocks the way ->

RCI says the fuel tank "installs in minutes"...I wonder how many minutes they were really thinking...

Anyway, then it got late so I didn't have time for the lower link skids. I'm a bit nervous about drilling into the frame. Is the frame hollow? If not, I'm not sure how far to drill into the frame?
 
The frame is hollow

If you can't reach that fastner you might need to remove your driveshaft, or jack the vehicle up and support the frame letting the rear end hang (remove the tires for max drop)

"Minutes" is vague, but it only takes 60 of them to equal one hour
