Re-gearing for 33s, lift, armor

First off, my apologies if this is on here already. Searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.

What would you guys suggest for a re-gear for a 99 elocked runner with 33s and the added weight of armor? I'd like to get it back to stock-Ish power. Also, I'd like to add a supercharger at some point, will that cause any issues?

You couldn't find anything by searching for re-gear? Tons of stuff pops up right away. Use that google search bar right up in the upper right. Tons of stuff will come up.

You really have 2 different issues with the regear and the supercharger. It's a really big investment to add a SC, probably not worth it. Keep searching.

I know some guys on the forums running 4.88. Brian2sun has 4.88 on his rig and he is happy with them. I am saving some cash to get 4.88 also, I think you would be happy with that gear ratio.

COB has 4.56 and he likes those alot.

From my experience, 4.88 is a better ratio for 33s/auto/3.4 than 4.56. COB has the 2.7 and I don't have experience with that motor so I don't have an opinion on what's best for that.

But with all my armor, if I was to do it again I would go 5.29. But I'm not unhappy with my 4.88s. For a ~5,000 lb. truck and a V6, it does pretty ok.

If you plan to regear and SC, I would pick one and do it, then wait and see if you really want to do the other one. As to which one to do first... well that's up to you, both are pretty cool.

I personally think a SC then a regear would be better. That's because I think it'll be more difficult to get the final result you want if you pick the gear ratio before you SC. Because 5.29s and a SC might be a little much. Maybe even 4.88s, I dunno.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be movin on up to 35s soon and at that point, I should have definitely gotten 5.29s. However, 35s and 4.88s with a SC would be just about perfect I think.

You question also depends on if yours is an auto or a 5 speed.??

As far as my research has gone, it looks like 4.88 is the way to go. The SC is a long way down the road too. By then I dunno how I'll be running for sure anyway...
