Man this drives me nuts.

Can the "unlock" button be re-programmed to have "all" the doors open up on one press of the button ?

Hate pressing that thing twice,

If you're talking about the wireless remote, then the answer is "yes".

BUT, you have to find a Toyota dealer that understands what Customizable Body Electronics Settings, or C-BEST settings, are. They can re-program that using their scan tool, but for some reason, not all dealers know that. Mine doesn't. :bash:

This thread has a PDF file that describes the C-BEST settings.

Pretty sure I did this myself years ago when it was new. I thought you could program the door lock option sequences yourself (don't need the stealer.) Check the owner's manual.

There are a few settings for auto-locking the doors (going into Drive, driving, etc.) and auto-unlocking the doors (going into Park, etc.) Those you can change yourself, using instructions in the Owner's Manual. They can also be done as C-BEST settings.

Changing the functionality of the wireless remote must be done through C-BEST.

yep, I'm talking about using the wireless remote....

Approaching the car with passengers is a PITA.. I never get that unlock all doors right...

I thought it was a safety concern, so one click only opens the drivers door to prevent unwanted people from entering from the side door.

It's good for those situations where you need to get in your vehicle quickly and not give a predator a chance.

The process should be in the manual, it is for my 06. If I remember correctly there may have been a seperate Toyota TVIP booklet that it was in if it's not in the main owners manual.
