I was sitting at a red light yesterday when an elderly gentleman slammed into me doing 25-35mph. He told me that he could not find the brake pedal then later stated that he had figured out why, his son had borrowed his Expedition and moved the seat and that because of this he could not reach the brake pedal. Anyways, the impact threw me back into my seat and then my head must have hit the steering wheel (it happened so fast I do not recall hitting my head but it's pretty obvious it did) as you can tell by the mark on my head. My 4Runner is a 2014 Limited. Should the seat belt have engaged?
The Expedition that hit me was insured by Farm Bureau and they have left me high and dry. Local office couldn't help me get a rental car, they tell me to call corporate which I do and corporate's voice mail tells me they are closed for a "company event" so I call the local office back and only get voice mail. My insurance company Progressive stepped in and got me a rental car for the weekend. Hoping to have the claims adjuster for Farm Bureau come by on Monday.
And luckily I am fine, no aches or pains today or yesterday. I am grateful that it wasn't worse.
