REAL Skid Plates?

I want to add skid plates to my '08 SR5. I've searched through the forum and can't really find any recommendations for *real* skid plates - I don't want the OEM one that's mainly for show.

Will I have to have them fabbed? Does anyone have a suggestion or two of where I might buy a set?

Otherwise, I think you'd have to go with custom jobs.

I talked to Terry at allprooffroad.com, via email, and he advised that the engine, transmission, and T-case skids they have listed on their site for the FJ will work with the T4R if you are running a V6, they will not work for the V8 T4R's.

Don't know what motor you have but it is an option and little less the $$ then budbuilt, but if its in your budget I would do budbuilt.

Mine's a V8. Guess I should have mentioned that. I don't mind paying the $ for quality.
