Reality Check Question

I know it has been asked before but I could not find a definitive answer. I have the 03 with JBL synthesis 6 disk. I came down eith the error 3 deal. I disected the HU to get my CD s back. I plan to install a double din kenwood and rtain the synthesis using the tyto 01. Here is my question, I have a single din I can slide in now till i have more cash to do what I need , would it be ignorant or difficult to do a quick install on the single din, then go back in a week or so with the tyto when in gets here and retain the synthesis stuff. Then when i can afford to get the double din I want. All that being said will a quick install with out the tyto get me by with out doing much harm for later?

Yupppppp - unless you have to take the dash apart to install the single din... which could be a pain, but good practice
